MicroScope which is under the legal authority of the "Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives" ("CEA") collects personal information ("Personal Data") that will be subjected to computer processing in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council ("Personal Data"). The CEA has designated a Data Protection Officer who has the authority to deal with all issues related to the Personal Data protection. If needed, please write to the DPO.

The personal data collected is as follows.

For all visitors:

• IP address
• Date and time of visits
• Operating system and browser user agent

For registered users:

• Full name
• Email address
• Affiliation (including institution type and full address) and position type

Those data can be modified at any time. In order to maintain them up-to-date, MicroScope will ask you to check them roughly every year.

In accordance with EU's legislation, we inform you that MicroScope uses cookies in order to manage sessions and user's preferences.

MicroScope uses Google Analytics as a third-party analytics service to collect information about website performance and how users navigate through and use our sites to help us design better interfaces. We do not use Google Analytics to track you individually or collect personal data.

Processing your personal data is necessary for our legitimate interests in providing services to you, to help improve our resources and for the purposes of day-to-day running of the MicroScope Platform and underlying infrastructure.

Your Personal Data are collected and/or processed in order to:

• Provide the user access to the service (including delivery of service and access right management)
• Answer questions from users
• Inform users of the evolution of the platform (newsletters)
• Create anonymous usage statistics
• Conduct and monitor data protection activities
• Conduct and monitor security activities

Your Personal Data will be kept confidential and not handed out to third parties.

Your Personal Data is stored for no longer than the time required for the purpose for which it was collected and/or processed as previously described within the limits of the applicable legal and contractual, tax and social provisions and to protect its lawful interests.
